Back in November of 2011, Nokia and Microsoft released its first smartphone and it was called the Lumia 800. Meanwhile back in February of this year, Nokia announced the arrival of the Lumia 900 during the Mobile World Congress 2012.

Now, let us talk about their different features and why they attract a lot of old and new smartphones users today. Let us start with their screens. The new Lumia 900 packs a 4.3" AMOLED capacitive touch screen. It comes in with a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (217 ppi for its pixel density). The older Lumia 800 packs a 3.7" AMOLED capacitive touch screen. It comes in with a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (252 ppi for its pixel density). Both of these handsets are equipped with the same screen type (AMOLED) but you will notice how the Lumia 900 is bigger than its predecessor. You will also notice that they both have the same screen resolutions but the older Lumia 800 packs more pixel density.

Let's move on to memory capacity and processors. The Lumia 900 packs a 16GB worth of internal storage and 512MB worth of RAM. It uses a 1.4GHz Scorpion CPU. The Lumia 800 on the other hand packs the same 16GB worth of internal storage and 512MB worth of RAM. It uses the same 1.4GHz Scorpion CPU. Sad to say, both of these handsets are without microSD card slots for more memory storage space.

Let's now move on to cameras. Both of these handsets are equipped with 8MP shutters (3264 x 2448 pixels) and uses Carl Zeiss optics. They can also record videos at 720p at 30 frames per second. The only difference is that the Lumia 900 packs a front-facing 1MP camera at 15 frames per second.

Both of these handsets are running on the latest Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS. You can also get them in Black, White, Magenta, and Cyan colors.

As you can see, the first Nokia and Microsoft tie-up gave us the amazing Nokia Lumia 800 and because of this successful tie-up we will soon have the Nokia Lumia 900.
